Education
An essential mission of The Institute of Integrative Psychiatry
is educating the public (healthcare professionals and consumers)
about the important connections between medicine and
psychiatry. Initially the Institute will focus on 10 areas of
particular interest and relevance to psychiatric and medical
practice. While not exclusive, those areas are common to
everyday practice. Based on our research we hope to make a strong
case for keeping those principles in mind when diagnosing and
treating patients. We will explain why attending to those areas of
medical/psychiatric integration is essential to the well being of
the patients.
The distribution of relevant information will take place in the
following manner:
- Online information, including blogs by experts, links to useful
references and resources, scholarly and popular articles and other
online publications.
- Workshops and seminars by invitation.
- Open public lectures and symposia.
- Weekly emails to subscribers.
